The zoo will be naming its “Mother of the Year”, and the public is invited to help choose which animal given the distinc tion. This year’s nominees include Coco, a 57-year-old chimpanzee. The oldest ani mal at the zoo, Coco cares for Delilah and Leah, her two offspring. Also in the running is Dannon, a 20- year-old swamp monkey, who is the mother o f Bleu, a 7-year-old female. The zoo is also holding a M other’s Day brunch for human moms and their families at the Oregon Z oo’s Cascade Crest Ban quet Center on Sunday, May 9 starting at 9 p.m. Cost o f the brunch is $21.95 for adults. $9.95 for ages 3-11.
